Should I start with wet or dry hair?

For best results, start with completely dry hair. Then, lightly mist with water or a leave-in conditioner.

How long should I wear the Undercover Curler™?

The longer you wear our curler the longer your curls will stay.

We recommend at least 3 hrs for waves and 6+ hrs for longer lasting curls.

Can I use this at the gym?

Yes! We've tested during running, rebounding (trampolining), rock climbing, horse back riding, riding roller coasters, and hopefully on many more adventures to come!

Can I wear this at formal events?

Absolutely! It's great for curling your hair during a formal event and letting your hair down for after parties.

Does this work on short hair?

Yes, see our sizing chart for suggested sizes.

Does this work on long hair?

Yes, see our sizing chart for choosing a curler length.

Can I still use this with layered hair?

Yes, gently twist hair together while wrapping around the curler to keep layers in place

How can I wash my Undercover Curler™?

We recommend hand washing and line drying our charmeuse satin curlers for longevity.

What curler insert should I use for large curls?

Use the 1/4 inch thick curler inserts for larger curls. For extra large curls, you can insert up to 3 of our 1/4 inch thick inserts into your Undercover Curler.

What insert should I use for tight curls?

If you would like small/tight curls, we recommend our wire insert, our 1/8 inch curler insert, or no insert at all. The wire insert will give you more structure, while the 1/8 inch insert will allow your hair to drape like a regular braid.

How difficult is this if you don't have a lot of practice doing your hair in general?

We get this question A LOT!

All heatless hair techniques take trial and error. Everyone's hair is a little different. One method that works for someone else, may not work exactly the same for you. So expect that it will take you a few trials before you find out what you like.

Give yourself a lot of grace while you're getting started.
